Good Morning, and I appreciate the opportunity to be on the SOT board again. I absolutely love being involved in my children's life in and out of school and I also love being part of the community where I can share my ideas and get recognized for such. Being a membe allows me to do both. I loved what I learned last year being on the board and I feel I can learn more. Our budget is in crisis for education and seeing it first hand gives me such insight what we're up against as a community and especially as a parent. By us working together we can come up with some resolutions that might just help! Thanks again!

I was born and raised in Butte, Montana and earned a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the Montana College of Mineral Science and Technology along with a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. I worked in mining and metal manufacturing for 25 years and in 2016, retired from that profession to become a stay at home mom. Now I works part-time for the City of Henderson in the Box Office at the Henderson Pavilion. I have been married for over 20 years and have two children ages 12 and 15. Changing professions has given me the opportunity to become more involved in the community. I have spent several years volunteering for National Charity League with various philanthropies and now have dedicated my spare time to the Clark County School District. In 2016 and 2017, I was the parent ambassador for Burkholder Middle School, a member of the School Organization Team for Burkholder, a Speech and Debate Judge for the high schools and an active volunteer for high school swimming. I am currently very active with the Foothill High School Women's Soccer and the Marching Band.

I am a recent graduate from USC with a degree in social work. I am interested the behind the scenes of the school's functionality and decision making. Also, being a substitute teacher will help me understand the school system and to be able to help the kids I substitute or come across in my job.
